MANICURE MUSE: Balmain Spring ‘13
For Olivier Rousteing’s Balmain Spring ’13 collection, the theme is go big or go home. And no, it’s not about the 1980s perm. Instead, its about the nineties power suit that generously welcomes the shoulder pad back with the series of oversize smoking jackets with a serious shoulder. “It’s the nineties, Latin-style,” Rousteing declared. The Latin part came by way of leather crop tops, oversized hoop earrings, harlequin prints, and the elaborate woven wicker pieces inspired by Cuba.One thing is for sure– Rousteing never fails at producing a show that sizzles. The glam-chic Balmain power woman is definitely someone to aspire to.
My USA nails I did for a competition… I used white polish as my base color, and red, blue, black, & gold acrylic paints.
We did not do those, but they are certainly impressive! If there’s anything I love more than the Avengers…it’s Avengers nails!
